Venoly on your desktop

A native window and system notifications. The same Venoly, smoother. It downloads from here, not from a store, and the portable build needs no admin rights. Pick a build below.

Every build

Desktop version 1.1.0, Android version 1.2.0. The one for your device is first.

  2. Windows portableNo install — just run. Works without admin perms.x6481 MB
  3. Linux AppImageUniversal — works on every distro. chmod +x and run.x64109 MB
  4. Debian / Ubuntu (.deb)sudo dpkg -i <file>x6475 MB
  5. Android app (APK)Installs from this page. Not on Google Play yet.Android 7+15 MB
  6. macOSNot built yet. Venoly in Safari or Chrome is the same product.Open in the browser

On Fedora, RHEL or openSUSE the AppImage runs too: make it executable (chmod +x) and start it.

Before you run it

The installer and the portable build are the same app. The portable one just runs, also on a locked-down work laptop; the installer adds a Start menu entry. The AppImage is the Linux equivalent of the portable build.

Windows may show a “Windows protected your PC” notice the first time, because the build is not yet code-signed. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The file comes straight from our release page; the address on the download link is the one to compare.

Updates are not automatic yet: a new version appears on this page first.

Installing on Android

  1. Tap Download the Android app. Chrome may say the file can harm your device, because it does not come from Google Play. Choose Download anyway.
  2. Open the downloaded file. The first time, Android asks whether Chrome may install apps: turn on Allow from this source and go back.
  3. Tap Install, then Open, and sign in with your Venoly account.

It needs Android 7.0 or newer. The app always shows the current Venoly, so new features arrive without reinstalling; a new download is only needed when this page lists a newer app version than 1.2.0.

Play Protect may ask you to scan the app. That is fine. To check the file yourself, its SHA-256 checksum is:
