Pre-incorporation notice. Venoly is run by its two founders and operated from Emmen, the Netherlands (the co-founder is based in the United States), while the legal entity (a Dutch B.V.) is being incorporated. Contracts and liabilities referenced in these documents are entered into by the founder personally until incorporation completes, at which point they transfer to Venoly B.V. by novation without action required from you. Where the documents refer to Venoly B.V., that name should be read as "Venoly (operating as a sole proprietorship pending incorporation)" until the entity is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK).

1. Overview

"Venoly" and the Venoly logo identify our platform. We've filed for trademark protection in the Benelux and intend to extend to the EUIPO. Until registration completes the name and mark are protected by common-law trademark and unfair-competition law under the Dutch Burgerlijk Wetboek and Benelux IP Convention. These guidelines tell you how to refer to us without creating confusion or implying endorsement.

2. Permitted Uses

  • Referring to Venoly by name in articles, blog posts, social media, and academic work.
  • Saying your app, bot, or integration "works with Venoly" using the official badge from the press kit.
  • Including the Venoly logo in a list of platforms alongside reasonable competitors at comparable size.
  • Linking to venoly.nl with the word "Venoly" or a screenshot.

3. Prohibited Uses

  • Registering domains containing "venoly" that could be mistaken for official Venoly properties (venolyapp.com, getvenoly.com, etc.).
  • Modifying the logo — recoloring outside the published palette, distorting, animating offensively, or combining with other marks.
  • Implying that your product is endorsed, partnered, or affiliated with Venoly unless we have agreed in writing.
  • Using "Venoly" in your company name, product name, app icon, or social handle in a way likely to cause confusion.
  • Selling merchandise bearing the Venoly logo without prior written permission.

5. Press, Media & News

Press contacts: press@venoly.nl. We respond to legitimate media enquiries within 2 business days. For corrections or right-of-reply requests under EU media regulation, please include the article URL and the specific factual claim you want reviewed.

6. Apps & Integrations

If you build a bot, app, or integration on Venoly, you can describe your product as "built on Venoly", "for Venoly", or "works with Venoly". You may not call it "Venoly for X" or "the Venoly of Y" without permission.

7. Enforcement

We send the friendliest possible notice first. Most brand-usage problems are unintentional and get fixed with a one-line email. We reserve all rights at law where good-faith correspondence does not resolve a use that infringes our trademark, dilutes our brand, or deceives consumers.

To report a confusing or fraudulent third-party use of the Venoly name, email legal@venoly.nl.
